Under the direction and general supervision of the Education Support Services Supervisor, a Tutor makes lesson plans and tutors the children in the Residential Village or Foster Care program.
This is a part-time position typically scheduled to tutor in an individual or group setting one hour per day, four days a week, Monday - Thursday from 4:15 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
This position will be tutoring students in middle and high school.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design individualized and group lesson plans for the children in service which is based on educational reports and communication with therapists and Residential Village or Foster Care program staff.
Provide one hour of tutoring four days a week to the children in the Residential Village or Foster Care program during the normal school year.
Guide and utilize Youth Specialists to work with the students to meet their educational goals.
Assist Youth Specialists as needed in achieving a focused and productive tutoring session.
Assess the supply needs of the tutoring program and makes recommendations to supervisor.
Upon request from the treatment team, assist in the development of educational goals for the youth in the Residential Village program.
Provide feedback to Residential Village staff, Foster Care staff, and school teachers on the student's participation in theEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
